Lynn J. Hartrick has been UStec’s Chairman and CEO since 2003. Mr. Hartrick has more than 34 years of telecommunications industry and corporate leadership experience. He began his career in 1969 at Rochester Telephone (Frontier Telephone), and progressed through several executive management assignments including launching RCI Long Distance. Mr. Hartrick later worked for another corporate affiliate, Rotelcom Business Systems before rejoining Frontier as vice president of Engineering Sales and Service—the largest operation in the company with more than 2,000 employees. He retired as vice president of Network Services where he was responsible for network operations. Since his retirement, Mr. Hartrick has founded two successful consulting companies: Vitalwork Inc. and Coyote Investment & Consulting. Mr. Hartrick holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester and a BA from Mount Union College.

William H. Thompson, Founder and President
Prior to founding UStec in 1992, Mr. Thompson served for 10 years as founder and president of a home construction company. He also spent 13 years with Xerox Corporation holding several management positions, primarily in new product development. Mr. Thompson holds several patents for inventions in the home networking field. He serves on the Consumer Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) government affairs committee, is a member of the 1394 Trade Association and is a frequent guest speaker at industry events. Bill received undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration as well as his MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
